APLIC 2017's Congress in the Clouds beckons!

Source: Asia Insurance Review | Apr 2017

Come 17-19 May, Malaysian hill resort Genting Highlands will be teeming with thousands of agents and advisers from all around the region. The Asia Pacific Life Insurance Congress (APLIC) is a biannual gathering of life insurance sales professionals and financial advisers from Asia Pacific and it is Malaysia’s turn to host it this year.

History of APFinSA
APLIC 2017 will be organised by the Asia Pacific Life Insurance Council and the National Association of Malaysian Life Insurance Fieldforce and Advisers (NAMLIFA). The APLIC council was formed in September 1991, when the inaugural meeting was held in Singapore, attended by the Presidents of the National Life Underwriting Associations from Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The 1st APLIC was held in conjunction with the inaugural meeting. Since then, its membership has grown.

APLIC 2017
APLIC, said to be the largest financial services congress regionally with attendance of around 7,000, serves as a platform where delegates can be inspired by top performers in the life industry and share ideas with each other. This year’s Congress features a range of top-notch global names from the industry, including former MDRT presidents Brian D Heckert (USA), Tony Gordon (UK), management consultant Garry D. Kinder (USA), and Mr Sanjay Tolani (UAE), not to mention top agents and advisers from the APLIC Council member countries themselves.
Hear and be inspired by Ms Rizalina G Mantaring, President & CEO, Sun Life Financial group of companies, Dr Haruthai Kraiwapan, a top agent from Thailand and Ms Wang Ni, China’s youngest US MDRT member and insurance sales champion.
