The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) is spearheading the development of talent in the insurance industry with the aim of building a competent and skilled workforce.
Towards this end, MII signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) on 3 August, allowing MII’s graduates to pursue higher learning and advanced career growth.
The MoA provides graduates of the Associateship of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (AMII) to pursue the Master in Business Administration (MBA) programme at MUST.
MII Chairman Hashim Harun said that the partnership offers a broad spectrum of high quality academic programmes in advanced business, science and technology.
The MBA programme offers specialisation in insurance, finance and risk management. AMII graduates will also be offered a 20% rebate on the total tuition fees, and be exempted from four of the 12 subjects applicable to AMII graduates.
MII CEO Syed Moheeb said 30 AMII graduates are expected to pursue the first batch of the MBA programme, which will start in October this year. A
