Zurich Hong Kong has introduced a new legal panel to provide legal services for the strategic management of large and complex claims across APAC.

The new panel consists of BLM in association with GILC (Global Insurance Law Connect), Clyde & Co, DAC Beachcroft in association with Legalign Global and Kennedys Law. The panel came into force on 1 March.

The panel complements existing local country panel arrangements and allows Zurich to execute a more consistent legal strategy. It will specifically benefit those claims that arise from Zurich international programmes, where more than one legal jurisdiction may be involved, the company said.

Zurich head of claims for APAC Matt Cottrell said, “This is great news for our customers and our broking partners who will be able to receive specialist legal advice provided by highly respected international law firms that are based in the region and have a global reach. The legal and market insights they’ll provide to Zurich and our customers will be invaluable, particularly for larger, more complex claims.” A
