The highest base salary in the risk management field goes to the Chief Risk Officer or Vice President of a US-based company at US$170,683, with the Director of Insurance and Risk Management coming in second-highest at US$118,200, according to the results of a 2008 Risk Management Compensation Survey conducted between 5 May and 30 June 2008 in the US and Canada.
