Africa Re unveils new logo and reaffirms commitment to region

Africa’s largest home-grown reinsurer has unveiled a new logo ahead of the 40th anniversary of its establishment next year.
   Mr Corneille Karekezi, Managing Director and CEO of Africa Re, said the rebranding is a way of reaffirming the reinsurer’s commitment to its partners and customers in the ever-changing business environment.
   “Since (Africa Re) was established, the continent has changed. Changing the logo reflects the renewal of our commitment and the strengthening of our position, even though our focus and vision remain the same,” he said as he unveiled the new logo at a dinner party at the African Insurance Organisation (AIO) 42nd Conference in Tunis.
   The new logo is designed to convey the distinctive essence of Africa Re, which is bold and forward-looking. The logo uses three colours: blue, gold and white, conveying a regal aura and reflecting authority, trust, strength and professionalism.
