Asia: ACR appoints group CUO, opens rep office
Mr Hans-Joachim Guenther, Group Chief Underwriting Officer of ACR Capital Holdings
Mr Hans-Joachim Guenther has joined ACR Capital Holdings as Group Chief Underwriting Officer, based in Singapore from 1 December. He was previously Chief Underwriting Officer and Head of Reinsurance for Europe & Asia Pacific at Endurance Specialty Insurance.

   Meanwhile, Dr Yao Jianzhong has been appointed Shanghai Chief Representative for the reinsurer’s first China representative office. He was previously Head of Economic Research and China Client Relationship Management at Asia Capital Re.
 
 
Asia: Aviva names Digital Garage lead
Ms Wynthia Goh, Digital Director, at Aviva Asia
Ms Wynthia Goh has been appointed to the newly-created role of Digital Director, at Aviva Asia. She is based in Singapore and will be responsible for enhancing Aviva’s current digital propositions and to develop a whole new suite of online initiatives.
 
 
Generali Asia boosts leadership team with CRO
Mr Nick Blanchflower, Regional Chief Risk Officer of Generali Asia
Mr Nick Blanchflower has been appointed Generali Asia’s Regional Chief Risk Officer and will oversee all operational and business-related aspects of risk management in the region. Meanwhile, Mr Johnny Cheung has also been appointed Regional General Counsel to lead all legal, corporate and compliance affairs in Asia.

Asia: Manulife boosts management with new hires
Ms Laura Cao has joined Manulife as Regional Chief Analytics Officer for Asia, responsible for building the insurer’s analytics capability and delivering on its customer experience strategy. Meanwhile, Ms Wendy Lim has been appointed CEO of Manulife Asset Management (Singapore) and Ms Bonnie Lam has filled the role of Head of Partnership Development, Wealth and Asset Management, Hong Kong.
 
 
Asia: Wolfgang Boffo to lead Munich Re’s Corporate Insurance Partner division
Mr Wolfgang Boffo, Head of Asia for the Corporate Insurance Partner (CIP) division of Munich Re
Mr Wolfgang Boffo has been promoted to Head of Asia for the Corporate Insurance Partner (CIP) division at Munich Re. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for Munich Re’s CIP experts, who underwrite traditional insurance products and innovative risk transfer solutions for major industrial clients out of Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
 
 
Australia: XL Catlin hires head of crisis management
Ms Shelley Devane, Head of Crisis Management, Australia at XL Catlin
Ms Shelley Devane has been appointed Head of Crisis Management, Australia at XL Catlin. She is joined by Mr Des Partridge who is from legacy Catlin’s Sydney operations and Ms Lisa Hiscock who joined from Aon Benfield.
 
 
Australia: JLT Re bolsters Program & Facility capabilities 
JLT Re in Asia Pacific has appointed Mr Jon Calverley as Director and Mr Paul Steiner as Associate Director to build out its Program and Facility capabilities. Both join the reinsurance broker from Cooper Gay.
 
 
Australia: RMIA appoints new president
Mr Anthony Venture as President of RMIA
The Risk Management Institution of Australasia (RMIA) has appointed Mr Anthony Venture as President. Mr Ventura is an experienced senior risk leader who has held executive risk leadership roles in business and government. He is the Head of Corporate Services & Risk Management at private investigation service LKA Group in Melbourne.
 
 
Australia: UAC elects new chair, directors
The Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC) has appointed former deputy chair Mr Lyndon Turner as its new Chairman. Outgoing chair Mr Heath Amber remains on the board. Three other retiring directors, Company Secretary Mr Peter Fryer, from XL Catlin; Mr Peter Marshall, from ProRisk; and Mr Kurt Nilsen, from Lion Underwriting; were all re-elected for further two-year terms to fill the four board vacancies.
 
 
Australia: Clyde & Co adds insurance partner
Mr Marcus O’Brien, Partner of Clyde & Co
Mr Marcus O’Brien has joined global law firm Clyde & Co as a Partner and specialist in insurance, based in Melbourne. He has extensive experience in insurance law and commercial litigation. His clients include major Australian insurers, London market underwriters, and corporations.
 
 
 
China: Argenta appoints underwriting lead
Ms Coco Peng has joined Argenta Syndicate Management Ltd (ASML) and will lead Syndicate 2121’s new underwriting division on the Lloyd’s China platform. An expert in marine and energy, she has served previous stints as broker and underwriter.
 
 
India: Maritime Cook Islands appoints deputy registrars
Ship registry Maritime Cook Islands recently established its presence in India with the appointment of two deputy registrars, Mr Faust Pinto Jr and Ms Fereshte Sethna, to serve the growing yacht owning community in the Indian markets. Both are based in Mumbai.
 
 
New Zealand: Ironshore launches office
Mr Robert Solloway has been named Asia Pacific Regional Manager and will serve in Ironshore International’s New Zealand office which operates as a branch of its Sydney-based operations, led by Ms Katherine Simmonds, Managing Director.
 
 
Global: Aon Benfield Global ReSpecialty names Chief Commercial Officer
Mr Russell Nevard will join Aon Benfield’s Global ReSpecialty division as Chief Commercial Officer in April. He was most recently Managing Director for Willis Re Specialty, Aerospace.
 
 
Global: RGA names new president
Ms Anna Manning, President of RGA
Ms Anna Manning has been appointed President of RGA, taking over Mr Greig Woodring who will remain CEO of RGA until his planned retirement in late 2016. 
 
   She is currently Senior Executive Vice President, Structured Solutions, and will continue to serve in her current role while assuming her new responsibilities as President. Ms Manning is also slated to be elected to the Board effective January and appointed as CEO by the end of 2016.
 
 
Global: Crawford restructures operations, names interim CEO

Crawford & Company has announced a new simplified operating structure and has appointed Mr Harsha Agadi as interim President and CEO. Mr Ian Muress, previously head of Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific, has been appointed CEO, International operations. 
 
   The remaining business unit heads will retain their current roles: Mr Larry Thomas, CEO, U.S. Property & Casualty and Contractor Connection; Ms Danielle Lisenbey, CEO, Broadspire; and Mr David Isaac, CEO, Garden City Group. All will report to Mr Agadi.
 
   Canadian CEO Pat Van Bakel will report to Mr Muress as will Mr Kieran Rigby, CEO of Europe, who will also oversee Latin American operations.
 
Asia: Pacific Life Re makes senior appointments
Mr Darshan Singh has been appointed Head of Customer Propositions for Pacific Life Re in Asia, whilst Mr Simon Chong has been appointed Head of Korea, Pacific Life Re. Meanwhile, Mr Yoshi Kang has been appointed Director, Legal Counsel in Asia, and will provide expert legal advice on all matters relating to the Pacific Life Re Asia business.
Global: AIG unveils new leadership team

AIG has announced the new members of its leadership team reporting to Mr Peter Hancock, President & CEO. They are: 
Mr Douglas Dachille, Chief Investment Officer, who will oversee the Science function, and Mr Murli Buluswar, Chief Science Officer, will report to him;
Mr Philip Fasano, Chief Information Officer;
Ms Martha Gallo, Chief Auditor, who continues to report both to the Board’s Audit Committee and to Mr Hancock;
Mr Kevin Hogan, CEO of Consumer. The Japan operations and the consumer claims organisation will report to him;
Mr Jeffrey Hurd, Executive Vice President – Transformation, Human Resources, and Administration;
Ms Seraina Maag, CEO of Regional Management & Operations. The Regional CEO & President roles (Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific) will be consolidated into one role, with oversight of country management. Ms Maag also assumes oversight of operations;
Mr Thomas Russo, General Counsel – Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and Government Affairs;
Mr Sid Sankaran, Chief Financial Officer, who will maintain oversight of Enterprise Risk Management. Ms Alessa Quane has been appointed Chief Risk Officer and will continue in the role of Chief Corporate Actuary, reporting both to Mr Sankanran and to the Board’s Risk and Capital Committee;
Mr Robert Schimek, CEO of Commercial, who will oversee the UK operations and the commercial claims organisation; and
Mr Brian Schreiber, Chief Strategy Officer, and Head of Corporate Marketing and Communications.
 
Mr David Herzog, CFO of AIG
   Mr David Herzog will continue as Chief Financial Officer through the filing of AIG’s 2015 Form 10-K, whilst Mr Sankaran will continue as Chief Risk Officer until he becomes Chief Financial Officer (at which time Ms Quane will become Chief Risk Officer and continue in the role of Chief Corporate Actuary). 
 
   Meanwhile, Messrs John Doyle, Jose Hernandez, and Eric Martinez will leave the company after a period of transition.
