Nominations for the 2nd Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards, organised by Asia Insurance Review and LIMRA, will close on 14 April 2017. We are still looking out for Executive Champion of the Year and Life Insurance Company of the Year for Agents!
The inaugural Awards last year celebrated nine winners from six countries in Asia and recognised agents across companies and countries at a time of disruptive innovation, which continues to rock the domain of insurance. While disintermediation has been talked about for the last few decades, the industry continues to triumph over the naysayers. Agents and advisers, now more digitally enabled than ever, continue to prove that the human touch is highly prized.
As we celebrate the agents, let’s not ignore the organisations behind them. We celebrate the insurance company of the year for agents – last year’s winner, Fubon Life, was honoured for investing a lot into its agents and its system upgrades, particularly in digital and technology integration to improve the efficiency of its sales force.
We recognise too, the bank partners and technology providers who stand beside insurers in their bancassurance and digitalisation journeys respectively. And we must honour the visionary and successful leader at the helm of a successful insurer and all its agents, as we saw in last year’s Executive Champion of the Year, AIA China CEO John Cai, who has transformed his company’s culture into one of inclusivity and success.
What’s new this year?
A more streamlined format has been introduced for nomination submissions and finalists will submit video clips to make their pitch to the judges for the second round. To bring the best from around the world to Asia to inspire agents, we will host our first International Training Summit for Life Agents and Financial Advisers on 11-12 July. We have also enhance the award categories and hope to honour deserving candidates of the
following this year:
- Financial Adviser of the Year
- Life Insurance Broker of the Year
- Agent/Agency Innovation of the Year in Sales
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- Agent/Agency CSR Initiative of the Year
