Spotlight on ASEAN - Laos: Learning the regulatory insurance ropes

This emerging country aspires to be as developed as others in the region. To do this, Mr Boualith Khounsy, Director of ASEAN-AFTA Division, Ministry of Finance, Lao PDR and his team are clear on their priorities to cultivate the insurance market in the country. The amended Insurance Law, to be released next year, aims to do just that and ASEAN regional co-operation will be a further tool to increase the insurance awareness for this developing market.
