It was almost a nail-biting scenario as bids and counter-bids flew for IPCRe Ltd. Finally, Validus Re sealed the deal with its US$1.68 billion bid in July. In an exclusive interview with Mr Conan Ward, CEO, Validus Reinsurance Ltd, he reveals the details of the acquisition and also tells us what their plans for Asia are, having just set up an office here early this year.
