    Tokio Marine has partnered with corporate innovation platform Plug and Play's InsurTech programme in Singapore, following its first partnership with the platform in Silicon Valley, US in December 2017. The insurer will now have access to Plug and Play's network and the opportunity to work with curated startups from the APAC region for testing and implementation throughout their offices in Southeast Asia.

    Prudential Singapore has introduced an insurance savings plan that enables its customers to protect their retirement funds against the volatility of financial markets. Called 'PRUActive Retirement', the plan is said to be the first of its kind in its market and is designed to provide a higher retirement income when the market performs and does not reduce pay-outs when the market underperforms.

  • 1H2019 Results: Financial advisers remain the largest contributor to Aviva's growth

    Aviva Singapore has reported a 24% growth in its annual premium equivalent (APE) for the six months ended 30 June 2019. Its APE increased to S$136m ($98.1m) from S$110m in 1H2018. The largest contributor to this growth remains the financial advisory (FA) channel which saw its sales increase by 14%.
