The international workshop on climate change and extreme catastrophic events in the Himalayan region held at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, Himachal Pradesh from 18 to 20 April, 2019 discussed the effects of climate change, the melting of glaciers and increased frequency of extreme catastrophic events and atmospheric pollution in the Himalayan region.
