Asian insurers need to be part of the low-carbon transition

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change found in its latest report that efforts of an 'unprecedented' scale were needed to limit average temperature increases to 1.5 degrees. This includes a rapid phasing-out of coal, still the biggest source of greenhouse emissions. Unfriend Coal coordinator Peter Bosshard says that it is time the insurance industry took decisive action to limit its exposure to the coal industry.
