1H2019 results:7.9% increase in net premiums earned and fee income for Swiss Re

Swiss Re reported a net income of $953m in the first six months of 2019, supported by well-performing reinsurance and investment results. There was growth across all its business units as net premiums earned and fee income rose by 7.9% year-on-year to $18.2bn. The group ROE was 6.6%.
