Vymo, a customer relationship management start-up catering to insurers and financial institutions globally, has appointed Mr Rajesh Sabhlok as its chief customer officer based in Singapore. Mr Sabhlok was most recently the APAC head of strategy and innovation for Willis Towers Watson (WTW)'s insurance consulting and technology business in Singapore.
Considered a veteran in the financial services industry in APAC, Mr Sabhlok was at WTW’s Singapore and India offices for over 12 years where he assisted financial institutions on market entry, business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, bancassurance optimisation and other consulting requirements. Prior to that, he was the head of corporate sales at Aviva Life Insurance and a national manager at Tata AIG Life Insurance in Mumbai, India.
In his new role, Mr Sabhlok will report directly to Vymo co-founder and CEO Yamini Bhat. He will be in charge of building the customer success division at the start-up which is developing a ‘mobile-first personal sales assistant’ available on iOS, Android and the web.
Vymo is said to be strengthening its position in Japan and APAC having signed up several large enterprises including AIA, AXA, Allianz, Generali, Sumitomo Life and is poised for global expansion having closed its series B round with Emergence Capital and Sequoia India recently.
