Pandemic fears throw fate of Tokyo Olympics into doubt


As the opening date of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo inches closer amidst the ongoing COVID-19 global health emergency, the risk of the games being cancelled or postponed continues to grow. Multiple sporting events worldwide have already been postponed, moved or cancelled and the Olympics might not be any different if the outbreak is not contained soon.
