Second wave of pandemic could weaken insurers' capital buffers

According to a new report by S&P Global Ratings, global insurers and reinsurers have remained relatively stable and maintained their ratings through the first wave of COVID-19, however the capital strength that helped (re)insurers stave off ratings downgrades may be eroded if the pandemic continues.
