Global:Aon and Willis give up attempt at mega merger

Aon and Willis Towers Watson yesterday announced that they have agreed to terminate their merger pact and end litigation with the US Department of Justice (DOJ), saying US regulators' objections created unacceptable delay and uncertainty. The proposed merger, worth $30bn, would have created the world's largest insurance broker.
