While the five major 'A' share-listed insurers in China showed an aggregate net profit for the first nine months of this year, a detailed analysis by Yicai, the financial news arm of Shanghai Media Group, shows that the combined net result of CNY185.56bn ($29bn) had slipped by 7% compared to the corresponding period last year.
