Global:Insured cat losses in 1H reach US$38bn, estimates Swiss Re Institute

A series of winter storms in Europe, unprecedented flooding in Australia and South Africa as well as a high number of thunderstorms in the US and Europe resulted in $35bn of insured losses from natural catastrophes in the first half of 2022, according to Swiss Re Institute's preliminary estimates.
