Australia:Life insurance sector's financial results hit by investment losses

The life insurance industry in Australia reported a net profit after tax of A$0.5bn ($343m) and a return on net assets of 1.9% for the year ended 30 June 2022, a decrease in comparison to the results of the prior year, according to data released by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).
