AIA has appointed Mr Ben Ng as group CRO designate and executive committee member, effective 1 October. He will assume the role of group CRO from 1 January 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
Mr Ng joined AIA in 2011 2011 and has held a range of senior executive roles across Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan, including serving as CEO of Malaysia, Indonesia and group corporate solutions.
He was also elected president of the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia, where he continued to advance the industry agenda through regulatory engagement covering agent professionalism, risk management and sustainability.
Mr Ng holds fellowships with both the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society. He takes over from Ms Jayne Plunkett, who will retire from her role with effect from 1 January 2026. She has been the group CRO since 2019.
