Markel Insurance, the insurance operation within Markel Group, has appointed Ms Clarice Francis as operations manager to international war and terrorism.
In her new role, Ms Francis will focus on enhancing operational efficiency within the international war and terrorism team. This includes working alongside the business’s management, claims, actuarial and product development departments to provide in-depth analysis and auditing of services.
She will also support the Asia head of region to create new initiatives to drive efficiency projects, as well as collaborate with broking partners to enhance risk assessment, streamline processes and manage underwriting relationships to offer a seamless experience and further position Markel as a leading insurer in the political violence market.
Ms Francis is an experienced insurance professional within the Lloyd’s market. She joins from Hiscox, where she specialised in operations management and project delivery. Prior to Hiscox, she completed a six-month law internship at Kennedys in Spain.
