Allianz Asia Pacific announce new regional chief strategy, distribution, and customer officer

Allianz Asia Pacific has announced the expanded role of Mohit Bahoria as regional chief strategy, distribution, and customer officer.

Based in Singapore, Mr Bahoria continues as a member of the Allianz Asia Pacific regional executive board, leading the group’s strategic growth agenda across life, health, and P&C businesses in Asia.

Previously regional chief agency, marketing, strategy, and digital officer, his newly expanded portfolio includes end-to-end distribution and customer strategy, unifying distribution, marketing, and proposition under one vision of delivering simpler, smarter, and more human insurance experiences.

In this capacity, he oversees strategy execution, distribution transformation, and customer experience across agency, bancassurance, broker, and emerging channels - with a strong focus on professionalization, digital enablement, and leadership development in key markets such as China, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, and Singapore.

Under his leadership, Allianz Asia Pacific has pioneered several award-winning initiatives, including AZ360, the Group’s first integrated digital sales and customer platform, and Pinnacle Learning, a region-wide professional growth ecosystem developed in partnership with INSEAD, KBI, and leading global institutions.

With over 20 years of experience across insurance, banking, consulting, and technology, Mr Bahoria has held senior roles at AIA, Zurich Insurance, and Citigroup, and is recognized for driving large-scale transformation and innovation across diverse Asian markets.
