Vitarich Corp. announced on Monday that it has signed a PHP400m ($7.1m) compromise agreement with AXA Philippines Life and General Insurance Corp to resolve a long-standing dispute related to damages from Typhoon Ondoy in 2009.
The settlement is anticipated to enhance the capital resources of the poultry and feeds producer, contributing approximately Php196m in additional net income and around PHP267m in net cash flow.
The agreement became effective on December 19, 2025.
Vitarich is a major agricultural company owned by the Sarmiento family.
