Taiwan:Life insurers see 34% jump in new foreign-currency insurance premiums in first 11 months of 2025


The Taiwanese life insurance industry posted a 34% rise in premium revenues from new foreign-currency-denominated policies by the end of November 2025, according to the Insurance Bureau on 27 January 2026.

The total stood at NT$376.64bn ($12bn), up from NT$280bn recorded in the same period last year. Of this amount, investment-linked insurance products contributed NT$62.513bn, or about 17%, marking a 47% increase from NT$42.51bn year on year.

Meanwhile, sales of foreign-currency-denominated traditional life insurance products reached NT$314.125bn, accounting for roughly 83% of the total and rising by 32% from NT$237.952bn a year earlier.
