Willis, a WTW business, has appointed Ms Mareli Vermeulen as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Asia within its Financial and Executive Risks (FINEX) business.
In her new role, Ms Vermeulen will lead the development and delivery of transaction risk solutions for Willis’ M&A and private equity clients across Asia.
She brings more than 13 years of experience advising private equity firms and corporate acquirers on complex, high-value transactions. Most recently, Ms Vermeulen served as a Director in Willis’ Pacific M&A team, where she advised clients on warranty and indemnity and tax liability insurance solutions for deals across a wide range of sectors in Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to joining Willis, Ms Vermeulen was an M&A and private equity Lawyer at leading international law firms in Australia and South Africa.
