Pakistan's dairy farmers to get insurance coverage

| 07 May 2026

A dedicated life insurance programme for dairy farmers is in the pipeline, with the pioneering initiative aiming to provide financial security insurance coverage for over 1,500 farmers and their families under the Dairy Farmers Programme.

The initiative will be spearheaded by the partnership between Friesland Campina Engro Pakistan Limited and State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC), according to an article by Pakistani business news platform The Business Recorder.

The customised policy, titled ‘Dairy Farmers Insurance Programme’, is designed to support farmers’ families in the event of accidental death or permanent disability, ensuring financial protection and greater peace of mind for farming communities at no cost to farmers, the article stated.
