Sun Life has promoted Mr Chris Wei to the role of President, SLC Management, of Asia Wealth and Capital Markets.
Mr Wei joined Sun Life in 2022 as Chief Client and Innovation Officer, a role he held until July 2026, according to his profile on LinkedIn.
Prior to joining Sun Life, Mr Wei worked with Blue Insurance, Aviva, Great Eastern, AIA, AIG United Guaranty Insurance (Asia) and Allstate Canada. He began his career in 2002.
In Vietnam, Sun Life has also appointed Mr Budi Darmawan as Chief Agency Officer, according to a LinkedIn post.
In his new role, Mr Darmawan leads the strategic expansion and modernisation of Sun Life Vietnam’s agency channel, strengthens advisor capabilities and helps to build a high-performing sales force to drive sustainable growth.
With more than 25 years of leadership experience in the life insurance industry, Mr Darmawan brings extensive expertise in agency distribution, organisational transformation and sales force development.
Prior to joining Sun Life Vietnam, he held senior leadership positions, including Distribution Director at PFI Mega Life and Chief Distribution Officer at Zurich Topas Life.
