The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) will hold insurance consultations later this month for policyholders in Port Pirie affected by the severe storms that struck the region in late November 2025. It said this will allow residents to meet face to face with representatives from multiple insurers to discuss existing claims or lodge new ones as recovery efforts continue.
The event will take place on 29 and 30 July at the Royal Port Pirie Yacht Club in Solomontown, South Australia, from 9.00am to 4.00pm. In addition to claims support, ICA representatives will also be on hand to provide guidance on the insurance claims process, explain dispute resolution options and offer practical insurance information. While walk-in appointments will be accepted, the ICA has encouraged policyholders to register in advance through its website.
ICA Director of Mitigation and Extreme Weather Response Liam Walter said the storms caused significant disruption for many residents, and insurers remain committed to supporting affected customers throughout the recovery process.
