At the tenth meeting of the third employee representative assembly, New China Life Insurance announced Mr Liu Zhanpeng was elected as an employee director of the ninth board of directors, subject to regulatory approval.
According to an article on news platform Sina, Mr Liu has long been engaged in Party building and mass organisation work, as well as strategic planning. He currently serves as the Minister of the Publicity Department of the Party Committee of New China Life Insurance, General Manager of the Party Building Department and Director of the Targeted Poverty Alleviation Office.
More recently, from 2011 to 2023, he served successively as General Manager of the Strategic Development Department and General Manager of the Strategic Planning Department of New China Life Insurance.
