Insurance revenue declined slightly to $4.3bn from $4.4bn, primarily due to foreign exchange movements and more selective underwriting.

Net financial and investment results from the insurance business, before foreign exchange impacts, rose to $144.4m from $84.6m. The increase was supported by higher investment volumes and increased current interest income.
