In a disclosure filed by ICICI Life Insurance to the National Stock Exchange of India, the Board of Directors of ICICI Life stated that they have approved the appointment of Mr Sidharatha Mishra as its Managing Director and CEO, effective 14 October 2026 or the date of receipt of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India approval, whichever is later, for a period of five consecutive years, subject to requisite approvals.
As part of the transition, the Board has also approved the appointment of Mr Mishra as the COO of ICICI Life, effective 6 October 2026.
It also took the resignation tendered by Mr Anup Bagchi as the Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Life with effect from the close of business hours on 13 October 2026.
