During the 2Q2026, ARPC continued to receive and pay claims from cyclone events in previous seasons, including tropical cyclones Jasper and Alfred.
Mitigation and resilience
The cyclone pool continues to support risk reduction through premium incentives for eligible mitigation measures. As of 30 June 2026, A$9.7m in mitigation discounts have been applied to in-force home premiums, up from $9m reported on 31 December 2025.
Mitigation discounts have also been extended to strata and SME properties, with take-up to be included in future reports as insurers begin collecting and reporting this information to ARPC.
