IndusInd General Insurance Company, formerly Reliance General Insurance Company, has appointed Mr Sharad Mathur as Managing Director and CEO, following statutory approvals.
In his new role, Mr Mathur leads the company’s next phase of transformation and growth, with a focus on customer centricity, digital innovation, insurance inclusion, profitable growth and strong governance. His priorities include enhancing customer experience, strengthening distribution partnerships and building a resilient, technology enabled and customer-focussed organisation.
Mr Mathur brings three decades of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Prior to joining IndusInd General Insurance, he worked with Universal Sompo General Insurance, SBI General Insurance and ICICI Lombard.
He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Directors and a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, India.
