Singapore gov’t investment arm to invest US$700 mln in China Pacific Insurance

The Government of Singapore Investment Corp (GIC), which holds a 2.3% stake in China Pacific Insurance Company (CPIC), will be investing a further US$700 million in the insurer by participating in CPIC’s H-share private placement aimed to raise HK$10.4 billion (US$1.3 billion), said news reports.
