Mandatory Retirement Age Raised to 65 in Taiwan

The Taiwanese parliament, the Legislative Yuan, has approved an amendment to the Labor Standards Law, raising the mandatory retirement age from 60 to 65, report the Taiwanese media. Around 94,000 workers, who are currently in the 60-64 age bracket, will benefit immediately from the amendment which was ratified on 25 April.
