Cambodia's regulator, the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC), hosted a public seminar in Kampong Cham province, aimed at raising awareness of the country's legal framework governing the insurance sector, according to news platform the Khmer Times.
The seminar’s objective was to increase understanding of insurance-related regulations among both insurers and the public. As such, topics covered during the session included the sector’s legal framework, details of regulations in insurance as well as the mechanisms behind the lodging and resolving of complaints related to the segment.
The article also noted that these initiatives were designed to strengthen public trust in Cambodia’s insurance system.
IRC director general Bou Chanphirou presided over the seminar, which was attended by representatives from relevant authorities, institutions and provincial departments and insurers, among others.
