Thailand's Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) is conducting a campaign in Ratchaburi Province to promote knowledge of insurance and related fraud instances among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the general public.
According to OIC secretary-general Chuchat Pramulpol, SME entrepreneurs encompass a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, wholesale and retail, tourism and services, as well as transportation.
Mr Pramulpol also noted that the OIC encourages the insurance industry to design products that align with the economic conditions of each province, ensuring the needs of the people and entrepreneurs in each province are met.
The programme has also expanded to universities and high schools in the area to educate youth about insurance. Its objective is to promote and build knowledge and understanding about insurance among people from all sectors, emphasising the importance of courage in everyone’s lives, as risks are increasingly intertwined in everyday life.
