MSIG Singapore has partnered with the newly launched non-profit organisation, Cybersecurity Association Singapore Limited (CASL), to strengthen cyber protection and resilience among for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the country.
According to a statement, MSIG Singapore will support CASL by helping the organisation deliver a programme designed to work in tandem with preventive, monitoring and incident response capabilities, enabling SMEs to better manage risks and recover more effectively from cyber incidents.
“As cyber threats continue to evolve, insurance alone is not enough,” MSIG Singapore CEO Mack Eng said, noting that the partnership will allow the insurer to support SMEs through a more holistic approach combining risk prevention, protection and recovery.
Said Mr Eng, “By embedding insurance within a broader cyber security ecosystem, we support businesses in strengthening their cyber resilience and recovery capabilities.”
“Smaller organisations are often the most vulnerable due to limited resources and access to expertise,” said CASL President Kevin Yong.
Under the programme, SMEs will receive cyber protection tools, training, 24/7 technical and legal advisory to uplift cyber security while being protected by MSIG Singapore to recover and remediate.
“In today’s world of rampant AI-enabled cyberattacks, this is an existential protection,” said Mr Yong.
