Manulife Financial Asia and Ant Health have entered a partnership to explore solutions in connected health care Hong Kong and mainland China.
The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding to explore cooperation in health management services, digital health capabilities, insurance technology and cross-border healthcare support. The companies aim to address gaps in the cross-border healthcare experience, by simplifying how customers find, access and pay for medical services across borders.
Some of the initiatives under the partnership include case management and concierge services for Manulife customers, expanded medical networks and patient services, as well as technology supporting health-related value-added services and cross-border insurance claims and payments.
The two companies also plan to explore the use of health insights, industry research and common standards to strengthen the broader healthcare ecosystem.
