Investors register more than 100 names in 1H for proposed insurance ventures

Enthusiasm for investing in insurance entities in China is unabated despite a regulatory crackdown in the industry in the last two years. Official data indicate that, this year to date, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) has approved the business names of a total of 102 proposed insurance entities, excluding agencies, brokerages and loss adjusters.
