First Australian hail event shows property insurance market loss of A$798m


The hailstorms which affected the greater Sydney region on 20 December 2018 are estimated to have led to property insurance market losses of A$798m ($554m) according to the final property loss estimate from PERILS, a provider of industry-wide catastrophe insurance data.
