Recognising the need to raise awareness regarding deposit insurance amongst the public in India after the recent failure of a local co-operative bank, the Insurance Institute of India (III) conducted a seminar titled 'Risk Based Premium for Deposit Insurance' last month for an audience comprising bankers, insurers, academia, bank clients and consumer activists.
