COVID-19 to weaken global economic resilience

The COVID-19 pandemic is expected to reduce global macroeconomic resilience by about 20% in 2020 from 2019 levels, as more countries find their fiscal and monetary buffers depleted from the stimulus packages that have had to be announced this year.
