Lloyd's COVID-19 claims hit $3.1bn in 1H2020

Lloyd's paid out a total of GBP2.4bn ($3.1bn) in COVID-19 claims after reinsurance recoveries in the first half of 2020. It recorded an overall market loss of GBP400m, compared to a profit of GBP2.3bn in the corresponding period last year.
