There is strong consensus among Singaporeans that severe disability can happen at any time and to anyone (95%), and yet 50% believe they will continue to stay healthy and are unlikely to need long-term care, according to the findings of a survey by insurer Aviva. This sentiment was higher among younger Singaporeans aged between 20-29 (69%) and 30-39 (55%), and less so for those above 40 (42%).
