UK:Mandatory climate plans for companies

A new taskforce set up by the British government will frame rules for financial firms and listed companies to publish plans with targets to mitigate climate risk, interim goals between now and 2050 and measures to meet them. These would be a part of Britain's plans for transitioning to a net zero economy by 2050.The rules would be mandatory and come into effect from 2023.
