The combined net profits of 76 life insurance companies in mainland China slid by 2.16% to CNY122.05bn ($16.88bn) in the first nine months of this year compared to the corresponding period in 2022, according to an analysis of the third-quarter solvency reports of life insurers that had filed these reports as of 1 November 2023.
