Global insured losses in first half of 2023 were $53bn

Global natural disasters caused an estimated economic loss of $194bn in the first half of 2023 according to Global Catastrophe Recap published by Aon. This is above the first half year average of $128bn for the 21st century, the fifth highest on record and the highest since 2011.
