Markel Insurance has announced the appointment Ms Jasminder Kaur as country head for Malaysia. In her new role, Ms Kaur will be responsible for scaling Markel's operations in Malaysia, one of Southeast Asia's most vibrant economies with an established specialty insurance market.
Ms Kaur will also collaborate closely with the underwriting team in Singapore, while also working to establish and grow Markel’s underwriting capability in Kuala Lumpur.
Ms Kaur brings close to three decades of experience, with a strong background in risk management and broking. Prior to her new role, she worked with Aon Insurance Brokers, and most recently served as CEO of MP Honan Insurance Brokers.
